Last night Atticus woke me up in the middle of the night because there was a fire at Miss Maudies house. Atticus got us to put our shoes on and stand out side, the snow was making it so cold out side. I couldn't stand to watch as me and Jem were standing away from the house near the Radely house. Everyone was outside helping trying to stop the fire from spreading and some of the men were trying to save her furniture. Jem kept telling me that it wasn't time to worry but I was worrying on the inside. When the fire was finally out Atticus had seen a blanket on me he said that Boo Radely must have put it on me, that scared me because the thought of Boo Radely coming up behind me really frightens me.
